A fireplace and chimney that has not been properly maintained can lead to several problems, chimney fires, flue corrosion and carbon monoxide poisoning. A chimney/flue liner is an important exit route for gases, if the chimney is blocked or damaged it may prevent these gases from leaving. A Carbon Monoxide alarm should be fitted as a requirement with each new installation, at Swept Away Chimney Services we can install these if required.
